The oncology program at the CTC coordinates clinical trials of treatments for a range of cancers. These phase II and phase III studies are often multidisciplinary, incorporating surgery, medical oncology, radiation oncology and novel treatments such as biological agents. |

The CTC is the coordinating centre for several cancer cooperative research groups, for example, ANZ BCTG, AGITG, ANZGOG, ANZGCTG, ALTG, COGNO, APUG. |

| The CTC may be responsible for randomisation, data management, statistical analyses, and the coordination of related substudies (for example, on quality of life, cost-effectiveness and analysis of biomarkers from tumour tissue). | |||
