Oncology
The CTC oncology program is
involved in clinical trials research across a broad range of
cancers. See the quick links on the right for
details. Our group works collaboratively as sponsor,
coordinating centre or supporting consultant with five
specialised oncology research groups:
-
Australasian Gastro-Intestinal
Trials Group (AGITG)
-
Australia New
Zealand Gynaecological Oncology Group (ANZGOG)
-
Australasian Lung Cancer Trials
Group (ALTG)
-
Australian and New
Zealand Urogenital and Prostate Cancer Trials Group (ANZUP)
-
Cooperative Trials Group for
Neuro-Oncology (COGNO)
We also provide randomisation and
statistical support to the Australia & New Zealand
Breast Cancer Trials Group (ANZ BCTG) and trial concept development
support to the Primary Care Cooperative Cancer Clinical Trials
Group (PC4), and we lead
substudies which examine questions about quality of life, cost-effectiveness and biomarkers
in cancer treatment.
Currently our
group employs over 70 people working to
support more than 40 clinical trials. Our
staff contribute a variety of essential skills to these
trials, spanning clinical leadership, trial design, project
management, biostatistical analysis, data management, monitoring,
administration and coordination and systems development.
