Clinical Trials Research
New qualification is a foundation for a career in clinical trials research
New in 2011, the Clinical Trials Research course
provides students with interactive e-learning opportunities in
the design, conduct and interpretation of clinical
trials.

This course is designed to provide doctors, researchers,
data managers and nurse practitioners with a solid
understanding of research methods and the necessary skills to
design and lead clinical trials, including:
- developing trial concepts
- choosing optimal trial designs
- leading protocol development
- implementing trial protocols
- developing operational strategies for trial conduct
- collecting and critically analysing trial data
- presenting, reporting and interpreting trial results
- evaluating trial designs and methods
- leading systematic reviews and meta-analyses
- identifying funding options
- assessing patient outcomes
- identifying and interpreting issues related to health economic
outcomes
Teaching is by distance, and the course is conducted only
online. The courses are only offered part-time, with the
option of pursuing a graduate certificate, graduate diploma or
masters degree, or of studying individual units.
