All courses have a mix of lectures and interactive small-group practical sessions. Participants are given the opportunity to apply knowledge gained throughout the course and also participate in discussions with expert tutors who have extensive experience in clinical trials research.

Courses generally start at 9 am and finish at 5 pm, unless otherwise indicated. Participants are advised to register at 8:30 am on the first day to allow time to become familiar with the facilities and enjoy refreshments before the course.

Course fees include comprehensive course notes, early morning refreshments, morning and afternoon teas, lunch and a certificate of attendance.

Introductory courses assume minimal clinical trials knowledge. Please refer to each course for the level of knowledge assumed in intermediate and advanced courses. If you have any doubts as to the suitability of a course or whether you have covered the information in a previous course please contact the education officer at the CTC for further guidance.

Numbers for each course are strictly limited so you should register as early as possible. We are unable to reserve places in any course without full payment.

Payments may be made by cheque or credit card (Visa, MasterCard or Bankcard) and must be received with your registration form. Cheques are to be made payable to 'The University of Sydney, NHMRC Clinical Trials Centre'.

Please choose your course carefully. Once we have processed your enrolment, we are happy to substitute a colleague (on written request) but are unable to arrange refunds except under the following conditions:

• when a course is cancelled or withdrawn by the NHMRC Clinical Trials Centre.
• when a written request to withdraw from a course is received at least 14 days before the course starting date. An administration fee of 20% of the enrolment cost may apply.
• when a written request to withdraw is received less than 14 days prior to the course starting date. An administration fee of 50% of the enrolment cost may apply.
