Gaps in Knowledge
The Cochrane Breast Cancer Group is interested in appropriate questions that can be dealt with by systematic reviews as well as emerging clinical and consumer issues that will help fill the 'gap' in knowledge relating to breast cancer.
A number of Cochrane reviews on breast cancer have already been published. These reviews and the topics they relate to can be viewed at http://www.cochrane.org/reviews/en/topics/52.html (this link will only work if you have access to a subscription to the Cochrane Library - please contact us if you wish to receive a copy of the information included in this link).
Reviews in areas such as advanced breast cancer and chemotherapy are more common than those in other areas such as psychosocial interventions for breast cancer. We are interested in your thoughts as to:
- Are there any 'gaps' that you are aware of pertaining to the clinical areas where reviews are already published e.g. chemotherapy for advanced cancer, endocrine therapy for early breast cancer?
- What areas currently have no/minimal reviews? Which of these would benefit from additional information? This is particularly relevant where there is intense interest or controversy about a treatment/intervention?
If you have any suggestions please email the Cochrane Breast Cancer Group Cochrane@ctc.usyd.edu.au .
