Declaring Conflict of Interest
According to current Cochrane Collaboration policy - see section 1.5.2 of The Cochrane Manual http://www.cochrane.org/admin/manual.htm
"A conflict of interest exists when a secondary interest (e.g. personal financial gain) can influence, or have the appearance of influencing, judgments regarding the primary interest"
In line with recent recommendations from the CC Steering Group, conflict of interest forms have been completed by Cochrane Breast Cancer Group Editors and the staff working at the editorial base.
The term 'related organisation' in Q1 of the declaration form pertains to any organisation related to health care or medical research.
