Biography:

Sally Lord is an Epidemiologist and Research Fellow at the NHMRC Clinical Trials Centre.  Her research interests are in cancer epidemiology; test evaluation methods, including trial-based and decision-model analyses to assess the clinical value of tests and risk models to guide treatment decisions; and the methods of integrating trial evidence into clinical decision-making.   

Sally has an MBBS and MSc (Applied Biostatistics and Epidemiology) and a clinical background in general practice (FRACGP). She collaborates with researchers nationally and internationally, including the Screening and Test Evaluation Program at the School of Public Health, the University of Sydney and the NSW Cancer Council. She is a chief investigator on competitive Australian/NZ grants, including as CIA on two NHMRC project grants. She co-ordinates the Biomarkers Studies unit in the Masters of Clinical Trials Research, teaches in the Decision Analysis and Advanced Diagnostic Test Evaluation units in the Masters of Public Health and Clinical Epidemiology Programs at the School of Public Health, and tutors in Evidence Based Medicine in the postgraduate medical program at the University of Sydney.
