THE PERINATAL TRIALS REGISTRY        

The IMPACT Network (a special committee of the Perinatal Society of Australia and New Zealand) and the National Health and Medical Research Council Clinical Trials Centre (NHMRC CTC) are collaborating in the establishment of a Perinatal Trials Registry (PTR).

The PTR has been developed as a distinct component of the existing NHMRC CTC, National Clinical Trials Registry (NCTR) and is ready for registration of trials. The registry includes randomised controlled trials in the pregnancy, childbirth and neonatal health care areas.

The Registry includes trials fulfilling the following criteria:

• Trial status: Planned, ongoing and completed trials from the year 2000

• Geographic Location: Trials conducted in Australia and New Zealand

• Population Recruited: Women, neonates

• Health Care Area: Pregnancy and Childbirth, Neonatal

• Design: Randomised controlled trials
