PERINATAL TRIALS REPORT PT0523 Program of Resources, Information and Support for Mothers (PRISM)
Plain Language Summary: PRISM aims to reduce depression and physical health problems of recent mothers through primary health care strategies to increase practitioners' response to these issues, and through community-based strategies to develop broad-family and community supports for recent mothers.

Trial Objective: 1. To decrease the prevalence of depression 6-9 months after birth from an expected rate of 16.9% to 13.9%. 2. To reduce the proportion of women still depressed two years after from 30% of those who were depressed at 6-9 months to 20%.
