PERINATAL TRIALS REPORT PT0396 Acupuncture to treat nausea and vomiting in early pregnancy: an RCT.
Plain Language Summary: Does acupuncture decrease nausea and vomiting in early pregnancy and improve the heath status of women. Women were randomised to one of the 4 study groups to receive acupuncture, sham acupuncture of no acupuncture. Findings demonstrated acupuncture reduced nausea and dry retching but not vomiting. No adverse effects were reported.
