PERINATAL TRIALS REPORT PTO377 A midwifery study of perineal repairs comparing Dexon II and chronic catgut
Plain Language Summary: To effect change and allow midwives to perform perineal repairs using the most appropriate suture material we undertook a clinical trial of suture materials. We compared repair with Dexon II versus chronic catgut undertaken by midwives accredited in perineal repairs. the main outcomes are perineal pain and dysparesmia.
