PERINATAL TRIALS REPORT PT0355 USES Trial Women's Opinions and Experiences of Prenatal Screening for Down Syndrome.
Plain Language Summary: Prenatal screening for Down syndrome by second trimester maternal serum markers is established practice. The newer approach of Nuchal Translucency under evaluation can offer screening earlier in pregnancy. The specific aims of this study are to assess by randomised controlled trial, the psychological impact & views of women towards early Nuchal Translucency screening compared with second trimester screening for Down syndrome. The information gained from this study will assist in the planning of appropriate prenatal screening services.
