PERINATAL TRIALS REPORT PT0351 An evaluation of ginger to treat nausea and vomiting in early pregnancy - a randomised controlled trial.
Plain Language Summary: A trial is underway in Adelaide to assess whether ginger can reduce nausea and vomiting in early pregnancy. It will recruit 288 women, 8 or more weeks pregnant. Women will take ginger or vitamin B6 for 2 1/2 weeks, each day they will complete a form describing their nausea and vomiting symptoms.

Trial Objective: The study aims to determine if ginger will be effective at reducing nausea and vomiting.; if ginger is an acceptable method; and if ginger will increase maternal well-being.
